Never fear, you can get Sky Go on a TV using a good ol’ cable. Unfortunately, Sky is yet to add any kind of casting function to the Sky Go app – as you can do with other streaming services like. Is it possible to get Sky Sports or Sky Go on Roku in the UK? I currently use Sky Go on my PS4, but am about to get rid of the PS4 and so trying to work out how I can continue to get Sky Go (I use my parent's login, don't have my own Sky).
Cracking news you would think, but for the fact it has the most insane subscription model you can imagine.
Only 1 subscription is available of £10 for 24 hours access to the 6 channels.
So lets see if I wish to watch a 5 day test cricket match that will be £50.
What is particularly annoying is that all of these channels are available with other sky entertainment channels for £35 a month with Sky Go streamed onto TV via an X Box.
Why Sky and Roku cannot match this is beyond me, and before everyone replies that Roku are not responsible for channel pricing, please remember that News International and Sky have invested millions in Roku and therefore can hardly be considered a normal channel developer.
I've always tried to support Roku in the UK, but I'm struggling with this channel launch.

2. Buying a £10 pass is worryingly easy, just a couple of clicks on the Roku remote. If you have the NOW TV app on your Roku I strongly recommend you turn on the Sky Pin option in NOW TV settings via your computer. It would be easy for little fingers ( or not so little ) to run up a significant credit card bill very quickly otherwise.Please Roku / SKY, implement a realistic monthly subscription for NOW TV Sky Sports as soon as possible.
