Apps that let you decide what workflows you need to connect with Webex Teams. Webex has transformed our business by allowing our team the option to work remotely and not miss out on their personal life or that important sales meeting. Webex is a one stop shop for meetings. Doesn't matter if you just want to jump on a quick audio conference call, or a full-fledged video conference with 20 offices.
As part of the ongoing improvements to Webex, the Webex Meetings app is being merged into a unified experience. All the features you use today in the Meetings app will be available in the Webex app (formerly Webex Teams) starting Saturday, May 8, 2021.
Joining a scheduled meeting with the Webex app will provide the same experience as joining a meeting from the Meetings app, Outlook, or a link. You can continue scheduling meetings in the ATU Webex portal or using the Schedule button on the Meetings tab in the Webex app.
Meetings you already have scheduled will continue to function as expected; however, you will be able to join the meeting in the Webex app, and access features like Breakout Rooms, Chat, Reactions, and Q&A.
Meetings associated with spaces in Webex will continue to have a limited feature set available.
There is nothing you need to do for this update to take place. You can begin using the scheduling features in the Webex app after May 8.
Mobile devices will continue to use both the Webex app and the Webex Meet app.
Webex Teams Application
After this transition, OIS will host a Webex training session to demonstrate this change and other notable new features. Stay tuned for another announcement.
